Today’s lesson is Useful Longer Phrases.

It may be helpful if you can actually speak Japanese to someone… so in case you’re in Japan, and you’ve got no idea how to say hello to those around you, here you go–

Where is the __________? — __________ wa doko desu ka?

Example: Where is the toilet? — Otearai wa doko desu ka?

Do you have _________? — ___________ ga arimasuka?

Example: Do you have kittens? — Koneko ga arimasuka?

The _________ does not work. — __________ ga ugoki masen.

Example: The telephone does not work. — Denwa ga ugoki masen.

I am ______________. — Watakushi wa _________ desu.

Example: I am a fox. — Watakushi wa kitsune desu.

(Sorry for that one, I really couldn’t think of anything.)

Excuse me, I am lost. I do not speak Japanese. Please show me how to get __________ . — Sumimasen, michi ni mayoi mashita. Nihongo o hanasemasen. ___________ e no ikikata o oshiete kudasai.

Example: Excuse me, I am lost. I do not speak Japanese. Please show me got to get the ambulance. — Sumimasen, michi ni mayoi mashita. Nihongo o hanasemasen. Kyukyusha e no ikikata o oshiete kudasai.

And that is today’s lesson! Thanks for reading, today was a busy day. Woo. Rina-chan’s officially out.
